Ngum Kelly Diane Ndifon

DOB: March 4th, 2006

Status: Orphan, Internally displaced by war.

Kelly is a female child from Oku but currently residing in Bamenda due to the Anglophone crisis. The mother was caught by a stray bullet on the farm during a gun battle between the military and the separatists fighters. She missed going to school for two years as no school was ongoing in Oku. Her grandmother escaped with her and her siblings and brought them to Bamenda to live with some family relations.

Current School: Cambridge Standard Comprehensive Institute Bamenda.

Tamajong Allston

DOB: October 11th, 2000

Status: Orphan, Internally displaced by war.

Allston’s father was molested and tortured to death by separatist’s fighters and few weeks later they came back and shot him on the leg. Fortunately, he survived the bullet and was rushed to Mbingo Baptist Hospital in Boyo division for treatment. He walks now to school on crutches because after his operation, one of the leg is a little shorter and not completely healed. He is the first child of a family of seven children. The traumatic circumstances that led to his father’s death also plunged his mother into depression.

Patrick Bell

DOB: March 28th, 2008

Status: Orphan, Internally displaced by war.

Patrick is a male child living with his aunt in Kumba. He lost both parents in 2010 and 2014 respectively due to prolonged illnesses. Patirck’s maternal grandmother is very old and blind. Unable to take care of her five grand children, the family decided to hand three of them to their paternal aunt in Kumba while two are living with grandmother in Bamessing-Ndop cultivating rice as a source of living.

Patrick’s aunt is a housewife with no job and the husband is a retired worker with a brewery company. His aunt and her husband suffered from a serious fire accident that got their home burnt thereby losing everything. They now live in an uncompleted home in Kumba. Because of the Wolf Foundation education Program, Patrick returned to school in 2021 and was successful in the Government Common Entrance in List A.

Nanje Precious

DOB: September 30th, 2009

Status: Orphan, Internally displaced by war.

Precious is from Kumba but presently living in Tiko (Southwest Region) with his aunt. His father is presumed dead because since 2016 his whereabouts are unknown.  He was a soldier in the Cameroonian army and left one morning never to return. His mother has mental health issues and due to the Anglophone crisis, the family had to migrate to Tiko for refugee.

He stopped going to school last year during the second term when he was sent away for not being able to pay his school fees.  The Wolf Foundation education program helped Precious return to school with all the necessary resources. He was successful in the Government Common Entrance in List A.

Anu Joel Shalom

DOB: October 11th, 2015

Status: Orphan, Internally displaced by war.

Joel is a male child aged 6 years. His father died few months after his birth while his mother is a farmer who cannot afford  to pay for her children’s education. She’s an internally displaced woman due to the Anglophone crisis in the Northwest. The piece of farmland which once served as a source of income isn’t accessible to her anymore due to the conflict and this has hindered him from going to school last year. His mother too grew up as an orphan and dropped out of school while she was in Form Three. Joel could return to school with all the necessary resources through the Wolf Foundation education program.

Nya Ebenezer Junior

Nya Ebenezer Junior is a male child aged nine years and a primary five pupil of Susana Bilingual School Nitop. He transferred to Divine Nursery and Primary school mile four due to persistent gun battle in Nitop. He’s an orphan who lost the father four years ago.
